Purpose of the research project: 

This study focuses on a series of methods commonly used in the field of Human-Computer interaction (HCI) and aims at gauging the visibility of these methods in academia, both in HCI and in the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). 

What we expect from you: 

You are invited to respond to an online questionnaire intended for researchers whose (current or past) research is related to information and communication technology (ICT) or digital technology uses. We have estimated that this should take you about 15 minutes and we recommend that you complete the survey all at once.  

Your rights to withdraw from the research at any time: 

Your participation in this research project is voluntary. You are completely free to participate or not, and to withdraw at any time without prejudice.  

Your rights to confidentiality and privacy: 

Confidentiality of data collected through the research project will be ensured in conformity with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Neither the data collected, nor the research results could in any circumstances lead to your identification. Your participation is entirely anonymous and confidential. Since this is a questionnaire, the strict anonymity makes it impossible to correct or delete the information provided in your answers to the survey questions.  

Data preservation: 

Anonymized data will be preserved in electronic format for a period of five years. 

Possible risks: 

Completing the questionnaire in our study does not involve any risk or discomfort for you.   

Dissemination: 

The results will be disseminated in the scientific community (e.g. journal articles and international conferences), as well as possibly in freely accessible media (newspaper articles, professional networks, and websites).
